a Cool project...

I get inspiration from the weirdest places… I read on CNN this morning a list of questions you should ask your mother before it is too late… so I thought I would modify the questions just a tad and create a scrapbook that our boys would love to read when they are my age about their grandmothers… I emailed these questions to both mothers and I am excited to see what I get back. I will post the book when I am finished with it, so you can see how it turned out. Here are the questions I asked...maybe you would like to copy the idea.....

What's the one thing you would have done differently as a mom?

Why did you choose to be with Theron and George / Kenneth?

In what ways do you think I'm/ Brandon is like you?

Which one of us kids did you like the best? Just kidding..– that’s really a trick question… tell me what you liked best about me/Brandon as a child growing up. Do you see those same qualities in us today? And Do you see those same qualities in our children?

Which one of your grandchildren reminds you the most of yourself, and which one reminds you the most of me/Brandon.

Is there anything you have always wanted to tell me but never have

Do you think it's easier or harder to be a mother now - than when you were raising our family?

Is there anything you regret not having asked your parents?

Is there anything that you wish had been different between us -- or that you would still like to change?

What's the best thing I can do for you right now?

When did you realize you were no longer a child?

What is your fondest memory of your childhood, and of mine/Brandon's childhood.

Thank you gift

I made this for a thank you gift for a friend of mine. This is the first time I have ever used modge podge and I am HOOKED! This was so fun to make. I found the little tin container at Hobby Lobby for 5 bucks and the rest is animal print paper and I bought material and cut strips with my fancy scissors.
Here is a better look, I made the tag with my cricket. I had a blast making this. I made a card that matched, but I didn't take a picture of that... go figure.
And...what thank you gift would be complete without cake bites... oh thank you bakerella for this wonderful recipe!

My moms b.day gift

My moms b.day card..

Her canister of cake balls...yummm..
I had to test them to make sure they tasted good....hahahaha
I used my cricket to make the tag.
The naked cake ball...

Don't they look so yummmmmmmmy!

Recipe for cake bites.
1 chocolate cake mix
1 can of premade cream cheese icing
candy melts for decorating.

Bake cake per box, let cool. Crumble cake in to tiny crumbs, I used two forks to crumble them up. Add in cream cheese icing..now mix, get your hands dirty and get in there and mix it up. It will be a oooy gooy mess. Get a cookie sheet ready lined with wax paper. Roll up mix into balls, tiny or large, whatever you would like. Put cake balls in the fridge over night, or in the freezer for at least 30 mins. Then decorate as you wish.... I made mine look like chocolate candies. Be creative and have fun.
